Cote d’Ivoire land Ghana friendly

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana are the latest African teams to book August friendlies, bringing the number of African sides slated for August 16/17 action to 12.
FIFA has set aside those two dates as days for international friendlies around the world.
The match was originally scheduled for August 17, but was pushed up a day due to complications in media coverage.
Last month Egypt confirmed it would also play a friendly on August 17, traveling to Lisbon to face Portugal.
Also taking place on that day are two World Cup qualifiers, with Sudan hosting Benin and Kenya traveling to Tunisia. The Sudan/Benin clash, previously set for early June, was postponed in order to assist Benin with their preparations for the FIFA World Youth Championship earlier this summer. Meanwhile, Kenya’s recent row with FIFA forced an early postponment of all its matches which are now rapidly being made up.
