Al-Ahly cruise past Suez Cement

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - In their postponed week 4 match of the Egyptian Premier League Al-Ahly defeated Suez Cement with three goals to one. The match was played in Cairo stadium Monday evening.

The first half almost ended in a goalless draw but in the third minute of injury time Mohamed Shawky scored Al-Ahly’s first goal. Al-Ahly & Egypt star Mohamed Abu Treika scored the second goal in the 57th minute. Mohamed Adel of Suez Cement quickly responded with a goal a minute after Abu Treika’s. Emad Meteb sealed the deal with a goal in the 76th minute to make the final score 3-1.

Al-Ahly move up to second place with 26 points in 10 matches. They trail Ismaily who have 27 points in 12 matches. This is Suez Cement’s 5th loss of the league which puts them in 10th with 15 points.
