AMMAN (GoPharoahs.com) - Jordanian side Al-Faisaly moved on to the Arab Champions League quarter finals. They defeated Egyptian club Enppi 1-0 in the second leg match held in Amman stadium in Jordan.
Hatem Akl scored the goal for al-Faisaly from a penalty kick. Al-Faisaly lost to Enppi 2-1 in the first leg match. Enppi was a finalist in last year’s Arab Champions League tournament.
Since its inception in 1982 as the “Arab Club Champions Cup”, Egyptian clubs have won the championship twice (Al-Ahly in 1996 and Zamalek in 2003). No Jordanian team has ever won the title.
