No formal offer received for Zaki

CAIRO (Eurosport.com) - Egyptian club Zamalek have denied that they have received a formal offer for Manchester City target Amr Zaki - and they will not do business until they head directly from a club and not a management agency.
Zaki was linked with a £2 million move to Manchester City after 4 Steps management faxed a proposal from two un-named Premiership clubs offering to buy the player in January.
The 23-year-old former ENPPI striker had previously declared that it would be his “dream” to play in England, but Zamalek have made it clear that the player will be going nowhere unless a club actually make direct contact.
“Zaki did not come with an official offer from Manchester City, who were reportedly interested in acquiring the services of the player,” Zamalek vice-president Hazem Fawzi told Egyptian website FilGoal.
“We told the player to concentrate on Zamalek in the coming period and forget about any European offer at least until the end of the season.”
Zamalek are believed to have agreed in principle to let Zaki go once a formal offer is received.
