Ahmed Fathy transfer to Sheffield United in final stages

ISMAILIA (GoPharaohs.com) - Ismaily player Ahmed Fathy is heading to England for final medical examinations as his transfer to Sheffield United is almost complete. Fathy will start with Sheffield United in the second half of the Premiership season. The English club offered 1 million sterling (11 million LE) for the transfer.

“I have achieved the dream of my life to play professionally for one of Europe’s top teams”, said the 22 year old. Ismaily, who had an agreement with Fathy till 2010 agreed to the transfer for financial purposes. The club also has Ahmed Khalifa, the 18 year old who will fill in the void that Fathy leaves behind.
