Cajuda optimistic despite Zamalek draw

December 12, 2006

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - In a press briefing after Zamalek’s dissapointing draw at home against Algerian side CA Bordj on Monday, Zamalek’s head coach Manuel Cajuda said he is confident that Zamalek will advance to the semi-finals of the Arab Champions League.

Cajuda stated that the match was not easy for Zamalek and especially because the club is going through an unstable phase. The team was playing progressively better from match to match, according to the Portuguese head coach.

Working hard and focusing on the task at hand was Cajuda’s response to a question about the frustration of the club’s fans. He went on to remind people what the state of Zamalek was when he assumed the role of head coach and where they are today despite all of the administrative instability that the club is going through.

On the other hand, Mostafa Bisrki, CA Bordj head coach was very pleased with the outcome stating that his team did not come to Cairo to lose.
