Ismaily 2 Haras Al-Hodoud 2

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Ismaily gave up the top spot in the Egyptian Premier League by drawing 2-2 with Haras Al-Hodoud in their week 13 matchup in Al-Haras stadium. With this result, Ismaily now has 28 points; One point behind current leaders Al-Ahly. Haras Al-Hodoud, who gave up an almost sure win, now have 17 points. Al-Ahly still has two postponed league games to play.

Haras Al-Hodoud started out confidently, pressuring Ismaily and converted in the 26th minute with a score by Abd El-Salam Nagah. Ismaily quickly picked up speed and equalized with a goal from a penalty kick in the 33rd minute scored by Mohamed Fadl. In the second half, Al-Haras continued their offensive onslaught and Mohamed Halim immediately put Al-Haras back in the lead with a goal in the 47th minute. Despite being a man down due to ejection (Mohamed Fadl in the 80th minute), Hosny Abd Rabbo managed to save Ismaily from sure defeat by scoring the equalizer in the 4th minute of injury time.
