Ismaily, Enppi, Masry to Egyptian Cup round of 16

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Ismaily, Masry and Enppi joined Olympic, Mansoura and Tersana in the round of 16 of the 2006-2007 Egyptian Cup. Ismaily was up against Ittisalat at Ismailia stadium. The Daraweesh breezed through with a 3-0 victory against a mediocre rival. Hosny Abd Rabbo and Mohamed Fadl scored in the first half while Mohamed Hommos scored the final goal in the second half. Mohamed Mohsen Abu Greisha missed a penalty kick in the 8th minute.

Masry, on the contrary, did not get such as easy opponent. They played against El-Sekka El-Hadeed in Port Said. Regulation time ended 1-1 and both teams played extra time. Masry managed to clinch the victory from a well-disciplined Sekka side under the leadership of their head coach, former Ahly player, Osama Oraby. Mohamed Gabbas scored for Al-Masry towards the very end of the extra time.

In Mokawloon stadium in Cairo, Enppi defeated the Military Factory 18 team 2-1. Hossam Mabrouk scored both goals for Enppi in the first half. While Ragab Ezzat scored for the Factory from a penalty kick in the 50th minute.
