Ismaily trample Ittehad 5-0

ISMAILIA (GoPharaohs.com) - Ismaily regained the leaders spot in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday after dealing a crushing blow to their Alexandrian rivals, Ittehad, in their week 14 matchup. Mohamed Hommos lead Ismaily’s onslaught with 2 goals. Also scoring for Ismaily were Abdallah Saeed, Eid Samir and Ahmed Fathy.

Ismaily lead the league standings once again with 31 points. Al-Ahly holds on to the second place position with 29 points and three postponed games to be played. While Zamalek are in third with 26 points and two matches to play.

Ittihad’s latest performances in the leagu have been quite poor. They came into the Ismaily match with a recent loss in Alexandria 2-1 to Zamalek. Ittehad occupies the 8th position in the standings with 19 points.
