Ismaily upset over CAF Confederation Cup oversight

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Ismaily officials expressed their discontent over what they believe is an unnecessary oversight on the Egyptian Football Association’s behalf. The EFA submitted Enppi as the only representative of Egypt in the 2007 CAF Confederations Cup.

The Ismaily officials claim that the club submitted an official request to the EFA a few months prior indicating their desire to participate in the tournament. Ismaily hopes to resolve this issue before it is too late. The group drawings will start on the 20th of February, 2007. The preliminary stage of the tournament starts January 26th 2007.
