Meteb last-minute goal saves Al-Ahly

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Emad Meteb stripped Enppi of a precious point by scoring the winning goal for Al-Ahly during stoppage time of the second half to put the final scoreline at 2-1 for Al-Ahly. Al-Ahly now has 35 points from 13 games, 4 points ahead of Ismaily who have 34 points from 14 games. Al-Ahly will play their last postponed match against arch rivals Zamalek this Saturday.

Flavio continued to florish and put Al-Ahly up 1-0 early in the 19th minute of the first half from a great header. Enppi held strong against the confident Ahly offense and managed to score the equalizer via Samir Sabry in the 74th minute from a free kick. Enppi seemed to have finally put a stop to the Ahly momentum with the scoreline at 1-1 and the with only the stoppage time remaining, but Meteb proved them wrong by scoring in the 1st minute of stoppage time.

In the battle for top scorer, both Flavio and Meteb now have 10 goals in a three-way tie with Ahmed Hassan Farag of Ghazl El-Mahalla.
