Abu Treika undergoes comprehensive medical exams

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Al-Ahly and Egypt star player Mohamed Abu Treka will undergo comprehensive medical examinations based on the recommendation of Al-Ahly’s medical team. Abu Treika suffered a mild concussion after a rough challenge from an Ismaily player during Al-Ahly’s Egyptian Premier League match against the Daraweesh in Cairo international stadium this past Sunday.

Abu Treka was unconscious for almost 4 minutes after he was hit before Al-Ahly’s medical team could bring him back to consciousness. The recommended medical examinations are for precautionary purposes to ensure that Abu Treika is fit to play.

Another Ahly player, Ahmed El-Sayed, is undergoing surgery after he broke a facial bone during the Ismaily match. He is expected to be out of commission for at least two months.
