Ismaily stumbles against Al-Masry with 1-1 draw

PORT SAID (GoPharaohs.com) - Al-Masry has proven to be a tough challenger to watch out for. The Port Said club managed to slow down Ismaily’s momentum in the Egyptian Premier League and forced the Daraweesh to settle for just one point.

The match took place Tuesday afternoon in Port Said. Ismaily scored first through Mohamed Fadl in the 22nd minute of the first half. Al-Masry’s Osama Azab put both clubs back on an equal footing in the 41st minute of the same half.

The second half was exciting with both teams trying hard for victory. Al-Masry took advantage of their home turf and attempted to create another big League upset while Ismaily strived to continue their winning streak and challenge Al-Ahly for the League title.

Ismaily now have 31 points and are in second place behind Al-Ahly, while Al-Masry have 16 points in 12th place.
