Generous Sheffield United offer for Amr Zaki

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Sheffield United submitted a hefty offer to Zamalek in an attempt to aquire striker Amr Zaki. The English club offered a cool 3 million Sterling (approximately 33 million LE) for Zaki. An offer that might not be repeated, as Sheffield United officials put it.

Sheffield United recently aquired Ismaily’s Ahmed Fathy and had undergone trials with Ibrahim Saeed. The offer on the table for Zaki exceeds that for Fathy by almost four times.

Amr Zaki will attempt to convince the Zamalek board, who had previously turned down 2 million sterling from Sheffield United, to accept the offer. Zamalek aquired Amr Zaki from Lokomotiv Moscow after he had a short and unsuccessful experience with them.
