Ismaily complete final preparations for Al-Ahly

January 5, 2007

ISMAILIA (GoPharaohs.com) - Interim Ismaily head coach Sabry Al-Minyawi and his players completed their final training & strategic preparations on Friday. They are scheduled to play against Al-Ahly, who currently lead the standings, on January 7th. This is the last of the postponed matches from the first half of the 2006/2007 Egyptian Premier League season.

Al-Minyawi said that he hoped Hosney Abd Rabbo will have recouped from his injury before this critical match on Sunday. Abd Rabbo alongside Ahmed Fathy and Sayed Moawad will be key in Ismaily’s strategy of playing it fast and hard and taking advantage of any fast breaks. Ismaily currently hold second place in the standings and club officials have said clearly that outcome of their match with Al-Ahly will be key to whether Ismaily wins the league title this year or not.

In other transfer news, Ismaily is in negotiations with two Nigerians for possible addition to the Daraweesh lineup before the winter transfer window ends.
