Ismaily officially accepts Sheffield United offer for Fathy

ISMAILIA (GoPharaohs.com) - Ismaily officially accepted the revised offer from English club Sheffield United for Ahmed Fathy’s transfer on Thursday. Ismaily officials said that Fathy’s strong desire to experience the English Premiership was a large factor in the decision.

Sheffield United had downsized their initial offer to Ismaily from 1 million Sterling to 700,000 Sterling (about 7.75 million LE), which prompted a reinitiation of the negotiations after the deal seemed to have been sealed.

Ismaily are now trying to fill the void that Fathy will leave behind with several negotiations for local players before the winter transfer window ends on January 15th. Fathy is expected to participate in Ismaily’s match against Al-Ahly on January 7th.
