Zamalek defeat Ahli Jeddah 1-0

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Under the new leadership of Henri Michel, Zamalek pulled off a victory against Saudi Arabian rival Ahli Jeddah in their Arab Champions League quarter-final group match at Mokawloon stadium. Zamalek has had a streak of losses both in the local Egyptian Premier League as well as this tournament and this victory comes as a pleasant change for the club.

Mostafa Gaafar put the whites up 1-0 in the 17th minute of the first half. Ahli Jeddah missed a few real opportunities to score in the second half but were never able to convert.
