Zamalek defeat Police Union in Egyptian Cup

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Zamalek defeated the Police Union’s football team 1-0 in their Egyptian Cup match which took place Tuesday evening. Mostafa Gaafar scored the only goal in the 8th minute of the match.

The match was fast-paced and many scoring opportunities after Gaafar’s opening goal were missed primarily due to haste lack of focus. The Police Union relied primarily on defense and counter attacks. They put up a fight in the second half but could not convert any of their attempts into goals.

When interviewed after the match, Zamalek forward Gamal Hamza stated that he was happy with the progress and the continued victories that his team is achieving under the new leadership of Henri Michel.
