Abu Greisha asks Ismaily to let him go

February 5, 2007

ISMAILIA (GoPharaohs.com) - Ismaily and Egyptian veteran Mohamed Salah Abu Greisha requested from Ismaily to allow him to pursue an opportunity in Kuwait to play for one of the local football clubs there. Abu Greisha, 37, returned to Ismaily from Kuwait last season “because the club needed his services”.

In addition to a new offer from Kuwait at his doorstep, Abu Greisha does not see a need for him anymore at Ismaily. He was left out of the club’s starting 11 for most of the season and at times was not even listed as a substitute. Abu Greisha says he still has a lot to offer even at 37 and wishes to move back to Kuwait.

Mohamed Salah Abu Greisha has been with Ismaily since he was in the club’s youth team. He won two Egyptian league titles in 1991 and 2002 as well as two Egyptian Cup titles in 1997 and 2000 with the Daraweesh.
