Al-Ahly defeat Tersana in goal-filled match

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Al-Ahly defeated Tersana 3-2 in their Egyptian Premier League week 22 match that took place Friday afternoon in El-Koleya El-Harbeya stadium. Al-Ahly now has 59 points and are close to securing the 2006/2007 Egyptian league title.

Tersana played catch-up throughout the entire match. Al-Ahly started the scoring race with a goal by Flavio, putting him at the top of the goalscorers list with 16 goals tied with Emad Meteb, in the 16th minute.

Algerian player Bouferma scored the equalizer for Tersana in the 51st minute but Flavio put Al-Ahly back up again in the 68th minute from a cross by Tarek El-Saeed. Hossam Hassan earned a penalty kick and scored the equalizer for Tersana only 6 minutes after Flavio’s goal.

With only 7 minutes to go in regulation time, Tarek El-Saeed was tripped in the penalty area and Emad El-Nahhas scored from the penalty kick awarded to end the game 3-2.
