CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Egyptian football officials are making plans to host a pre-season friendly tournament over the summer, GoPharaohs.com learned Sunday.
The list of teams hasn’t been finalized, but it is said that Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace of England are planning to take part, in addition to the club that wins the Egyptian league this season.
Scotish outfit Abderdeen FC have also been invited and say they’re strongly considering the offer. A club from Qatar will also take part, though which one exactly hasn’t been specified.
Aberdeen officials spent part of last week in Alexandria and toured the new 80,000-seat Borg El Arab Stadium, the planned site for the summer competition.
