ISMAILIA (GoPharaohs.com) - Ismaily smashed their Alexandrian rivals Olympic in their week 21 matchup of the Egyptian Premier League at Ismailia stadium on Sunday. Ismaily increased their point count to 45, reasserting their will to compete for the league title from league leaders Al-Ahly.

The first half ended only 2-0 in Ismaily’s favor. Abdallah El-Saeed scored the opening goal relatively lateĀ in the half in the 32nd minute followed six minutes later by another goal scored by Moatasem Salem. Ismaily had control over the midfield and was the bigger threat on the offensive end.

Olympic attempted to even out the scoreline and opened up their defenses in the process. Olympic’s players could not penetrate the Daraweesh defensive lines and their open offense allowed Ismaiy’s offence to have a field day. Mohamed Mohsen Abu Greisha scored the third goal in the 58th minute followed by the fourth 7 minutes later by Abdallah El-Saeed.

Ismaily did not pull back after scoring four goals and continued their onslaught. Abdallah El-Shahhat scored the fifth goal with three minutes to play in regulation time and Ahmed Samir Farag topped it off with the sixth goal in the first minute of stoppage time.
