Meteb nudges Al-Ahly ahead of Ittehad

ALEXANDRIA (GoPharaohs.com) - Emad Meteb left the Alexandrian fans stunned after putting Al-Ahly ahead 1-0 only minutes before their match with Al-Ittehad had ended in their Egyptian Premier League week 21 matchup at Alexandria stadium.

Al-Ahly did not put on a stellar performance against Ittehad, who gave a mediocre performance as well. Manuel Jose, Al-Ahly’s head coach, watched his team from the stands due to a four match suspension.

Al-Ahly now have 56 points and are well on their way to securing their third league title in a row. Al-Ittehad has 25 points in 9th place.
