Barcelona head to sign off on Ahly collaboration deal

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - The president of Spanish giants Barcelona, Joan Laporta, will head to Cairo this Tuesday to sign off on a deal with African champs Al-Ahly. The two clubs’ friendly game on April 24th is only part of what is planned in the agreement between the two clubs.

The agreement spans more than just the celebratory match to be played in Cairo as part of Al-Ahly’s centennial celebrations. Collaboration includes training sessions for Al-Ahly trainers in Spain as well as the marketing of Al-Ahly’s upcoming stars via Barcelona.

Details are not yet clear to the public but Al-Ahly will hold a news conference when Laporta arrives in Cairo. Al-Ahly had sent a draft of the agreement to Barcelona officials to study prior to the arrival of Laporta.
