Zamalek’s Abdel-Monsef in Lazio trials

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Zamalek’s goalkeeper Mohamed Abdel-Monsef will undergo trials and medical examinations at Italian Serie A club S.S. Lazio this Friday and Saturday.

Abdel-Monsef also stated on Thursday that he received another offer via former Egypt head coach Marco Tardelli to play in U.C. Sampdoria. The Zamalek keeper hopes that he will succeed in these trials to finally play professionally in Italy and exhibit his skills as a goalkeeper.

Lazio won the Serie A championship twice, most recently in the 1999-2000 season. Their head coach is Delio Rossi (Italy). Sampdoria are coach by Italian Walter Alfredo Novellino. They won the Serie A once in the 1990-1991 season.
