Al-Ahly to South Africa for Sundowns showdown

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - Al-Ahly’s delegation of 20 players headed for South Africa in the early morning hours on Tuesday. They will face off against South African champs Sundowns in their round of 16 first-leg match of the African Champions League.

The match is scheduled for April 7th. Ahly head coach Manuel Jose chose to exclude Abu Treka, who is now fully recovered, from the lineup out of fear that his injury would reoccur given that this match is against a tough rival.
