EFA may postpone Egypt Kuwait friendly
CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) is considering postponing Egypt’s international friendly match against Kuwait which was originally scheduled for April 16th.
EFA’s president Samir Zahir explained to the press that postponing the Egypt match would give the opportunity for all of the stars from Egypt’s big three, Ahly, Zamalek & Ismaily to participate in the match.
All three clubs have commitments around the original date of April 16th. Al-Ahly is scheduled to play against Sundowns of South Africa in their second-leg match in Cairo, while Ismaily and Zamalek will be playing in the African Confederation Cup and Arab Champions League, respectively.
The national team will still hold a training session for the local players between the 14th and 18th of April regardless of whether the Kuwait match is postponed or not.
