FC Barcelona in Cairo Monday for Ahly friendly

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - The final preparations are well underway for the much-anticipated friendly match between Al-Ahly and Barcelona which is scheduled for April 24th at Cairo International Stadium. Plans for the match began more than a year ago. Al-Ahly’s board was keen on booking the Barcelona team for this date in celebration of the club’s centennial.

Although just a friendly match, Al-Ahly is taking things seriously and the players will be going in to win and put on a good show. The match is expected to be broadcast on several European channels and Al-Ahly wants to preserve the good international image they gained during the Club World Cup which took place in Japan.
