Zamalek & Ismaily draw 2-2

CAIRO (GoPharaohs.com) - The postponed week 22 Egyptian Premier League match between Zamalek and Ismaily ended in a 2-2 draw on Thursday night. The match was a critical one for both teams in the battle between Zamalek and Ismaily for 2nd place in the league race.

Omar Gamal gave Ismaily an almost immediate lead when he scored in the 4th minute. Abdel-Halim Ali equalized in the 18th minute for Zamalek and added another to put Zamalek ahead 8 minutes later. Ismaily managed to equalize in the 70th minute.

With this result, Ismaily now has 55 points and is in 2nd place, followed by Zamalek with 53 points.
